Are You Prepared?

Mar 21, 2011 by

This is one of the fun, just-had-to-do-it kind of blog posts. Not really a lesson of any kind and no SEO concerns. My only goal here is to create your smile for the day. Now that I think about it, I guess there is a lesson to be learned along smiling and reading  this post.

I was a Brownie and a Girl Scout. Don’t they usually teach you to be prepared at all times? Guess I was just too interested in the marshmallow’s roasting to pay attention. Does being “half” prepared count?

One of the assignments for both the 21 Day Productivity Challenge and, the 30 Day Productivity Challenge (I strive for over achievement, can you tell?) I am doing this month is to do a video for one of my websites. I gathered all my images, wrote my script and then…pitched a snit because my desk was a little “dog heavy” and I couldn’t  figure out where I was at the moment.

Break time…dinner is ready, so I will “regroup” when I get back into my office.

“I know I printed that script on scrap paper…where is it? Oh well, time to clean off my desk anyway (anything to keep from doing that video). Who knows, maybe I will throw in some filing for good measure.  Okay, Okay – I hear you Connie and Helen. Yes, I will do the video – soon as I find the script. Maybe I left it in the bedroom or on the front deck”.

Hey guys, have you seen my s…….

FYI; The Poodle is Coco, my “dog nephew” by proxy – he belongs to a long time business associate. We keep him (he thinks we have joint-custody) when she travels and he just finished his spring  ten-day tour of the Oyler house on Saturday. The not-so-innocent and white little darling is Happy,  the dog-child I am always referring to in my writing. Since Coco has no front teeth (don’t ask – it really was an accident) and the paper shreds had itty-bitty teeth marks that could have only been made Happy, it is obvious that Coco did not do this all on his own.

Oh, and the lesson learned by this doggie escapade – another smile for your day…file it correctly the first time, with a name you will be able to find it by. I finally found it, printed it out again, closed my office door and recorded the sound track of my first video.

Now…if I could only figure out how to put it together with the slides in Camtasia. I’m working on it!
